Jeep start and runs fine but I have no radio wiper or blinkers or rear defrost or heat. If I turn the key back to acces everything works fine.

I have no solution for this but the best idea I could think of would be is to check the fuses first. If there's nothing blown, a column from a junkyard should be about 50-70 bucks. If you have to pull the column apart to fix something you will normally end up removing it anyway so you might as well get a new/used one that works. It'll probably take about 45 minutes to swap if you've never done it before.

Also, is it an aftermarket radio? On old cherokees lots of stuff gets screwed up with an aftermarket radio if its not done right. From my experience of not having a radio for 3 months.

Probably not a column problem but a worn-out ignition switch problem. It's mounted on top of the column down under the dash.

Didn't get a chance to answer but I had that exact problem on a Ford truck. Well glad you fixed it and on the road again.
