Sorry to hear you had some issues with your install. All of our spacers are assembled and welded in jigs. This has been something we have seen on 96-down XJ's from time to time. It seems to be hit or miss. 87-89 and 96 seem to be the worst years for random differences in the unibody.

I had a little trouble lining up the C-Rok kit on the upper steering box hole on my 89 too. No big deal. I figured it was just what brimy said, and made it work.
