I'm sure you have already checked this but it's just an idea.

battery, alternator, plug wires etc?

I am still learning different things and have found that some problems are staring you right in the face.

There is a oneway valve in the fuel line. When they start to break down they will allow fuel to bleed back to the tank. When this happens there isn't sufficent fuel pressure to operate the injectors properly. When the pump brings pressure up and the injectors are now releasing fuel the jeep will start.
An easy way to test this is after the jeep has sat for some time, turn the ignition to the run position. You will probably hear the fuel pump run. after it stops or about 10 seconds turn the key to start. It should start right up now that it has fuel.
If not then well we'll have to do more digging.

Oppps just noticed the date on the OP.
