I'm hoping you meant you swapped the (CPS) Crank Position Sensor, which actually controls your fuel injector and spark timing.....Not too sure what a "CAS" is. Your CPS being bad could definitely cause this problem. So, if you haven't tried a new one or at least have tested yours, you should.

How much of the ignition switch did you change when you bought all of the new parts? You have the key lock tumbler on the steering column but, there is a long linkage that goes down the column to the base near the floor. When you turn the tumbler this linkage actuates the actual ignition switch that is located on the top side of the column near the base under the dash near the floor. So, did you replace the key lock tumbler, linkage and ignition switch or just the key lock tumbler??? and if so is your linkage still hooked to the key lock tumbler at the top and the ignition switch at the bottom like it is supposed to be??
there were 10 or so connections on the column that got reconnected, i did it right and took my time.
it hasnt ran since it got stolen, ie no fuel or spark. pump doesnt turn on,i hard wired it to make sure it was good and it is, im out of ideas besides the ecu/ecm.
im thinkning that it could be locked or on security mode if there is one.

off the wall ideas, did you check ground wires that may have loosened up during the joy ride? How about the fuses under the hood, there may be an ignition fuse/relay in one of those panels and probably a fuel pump fuse/relay in close proximity

I think you might just be on the right track thinking ECU issue. I've never heard of one going into a hybernate or security mode but, Hard to tell what was going through that computer as far as voltages when the thief hot wired together whatever he did to get the Jeep running. The ECU might very well just be fried itself.

I would try to find one of the same year model.....or at least same era that were the same....like (87-90), (91-95), ETC.
