Starting issues on 1991 Jeep Cherokee

Just pulled the tranny out and replaced the seal. Now I got it all back together and won't spark. First question:
IS there a theft prevention system or something?
Second: I read that the CPS is a known problem. Does the Torque converter have to go in a certain way or something? How do I test the CPS? Everywhere I look they say to test terminals b and a or something. Which are those terminals? I have a circle connector CPS. I noticed that it is a different connector in this guide http://greatlakesxj.activeboard.com/index.spark?aBID=43793&p=3&topicID=24211453.

Help?!

Dont know if itll help. When my 2wd trans blew...REALLY blew...i picked up a used 4wd trans and rebuilt a 231 with a sye kit. When i got the trans installed, i towed it down to the driveshaft shop and had one built. Got everything together and went to start it... nothing. Had spark, had fuel. I had to buy a new neutral safety switch (caught on fire) and figured the only other easy sensor to change would have been the cps. 75 bucks later, and installed...it started!

99 XJ, got lucky i suppose :P
