Default starting/ electrical problems

Ok 1999 jeep Cherokee 4.0 I have two optima yellow top batteries. my problem is i go out in the morning and try to start my jeep it clicks a bit then starts chugging slowly then starts up. I replaced the starter a couple weeks ago and the alternator a month or so ago.

the alternator shows 13.5 volts on the dash it intermittently jumps to 19 volts

it will do the slow starts even after driving for extended periods of time

. I'm running two optima because i used to park my jeep out in the backwoods and use the stereo for extended periods of time before this problem

how should i go about fixing this issue

I suggest that you remove your alternator and take it to a shop/store and have it bench checked.

Do you still have a battery temp sensor installed and hooked up?

I just got one of my optimas tested and it has no power even after a whole night on the battery charger would that cause a significant drain ?

Very likely. Do you have any kind of battery isolator? Pull the bad one temporarily and see if the problem resolves.

regulates temperature and tells how much juice to flow and prevents roasting the battery
