Default Starter Write-Up

Does anybody have a write-up on how to change a starter in a 98 XJ? Mine has been giving me some problems and I want to swap it for a new one before the winter hits.

There really are not many write ups on that, But if you buy a Haynes Manual it will have a walk through that would help you..

If you want, I just did the starter on my 98. I could talk you thru it if you'd like... It's pretty straightforward

Starter is pretty straight forward too.. You just have to unhook the battery, then remove the power cables from the starter then it's just 2 bolts and reinstall is reverse. Main thing is when you remove the power/ground cables is to mark them as to where they go on the starter. Other then that it's pretty simple..

Also here's a link with some info..

I know mine, and many Yeeps have that harness for the main power in/solenoid that makes sure you can only install it one way...
