starter motor removal
Hi guys I am a newby to the forum and would really appreciate some help.
I tried to remove the starter motor from my cherokee 1997 2.5 TD.
Removed bolts and bracket from the rear of the motor and the 2 upper and lower bolts which go into the bell housing.
Tried to pull the motor out but is solid as a rock, have I missed any bolts?
Please help!!

I've never had to replace my starter (1996 with 226,000+ miles), but assuming that all of the bolts and attachments have been removed, take a rubber mallet to it and be ready to catch it.

Not sure about the TD's but the 4.0s only have 2 bolts. Look all around the starter to see if there's another bolt somewhere. If there isn't try grabbing the starter and yanking on it with your body weight. Just BE careful when it pops out. It sucks when they fall on you....
