Want to wire a kill switch to my starter so nobody can start it unless the flip a switch anyone have any good write ups with detailed pictures? I know nothing about wiring so the more info the better. Thanks!

 

I'd like to know about this too. I know there are write-ups out there, but its good to know if there is anything specific about the XJs. My door locks are kind of funny some times and it'd be good to know that i can flip the kill switch before i get out and at least know that they can steal the stuff inside the Jeep, but not be able to steal the Jeep

 

I would suggest another wire, ignition, for example.
Engine can be started by a screwdriver under hood.

 

Just get a battery shut off switch from Jegs or Summit and install it in a hidden location. No power no stealing lol

 

Fuel pump us another one, lots of places you could go to for a kill switch. The most important thing to remember is which ever one(s) you chose make sure it's well hidden, not just a simple reach under the dash a flip it deal. Unless maybe you have more then one.

 

I have a hard enough time keeping it running-It seems to have built in kill switches already

 

Fuel pump won't be a bad idea either. Which ever is easier

 

Old trick use cig lighter push lighter in turn key to start done take lighter with ya when you leave !

 

Fuel pump relay - you can wire up a kill switch or just pocket it with you. Same goes for the ASD relay. Lots of info on here about both.
