Two times now within the past week my starter has gone a little crazy on me. The first time I was leaving a store and went to start up the Jeep and it fired up but the starter would not turn off. Its a little embarrassing to be in a parking lot with the engine running and the starter still spinning away. Now tonight on the way home I was driving on the highway and it started doing it again. I pulled off on a side street and after a few minutes I finally got it to quit. Both times it would keep running even after I turned the key off.
Is it something just replacing the starter/solenoid would fix or do you think it is a electrical gremlin that I have to find?

By the way, it is a 1997 sport with the 4.0.
