well i started to lift the front today and ending up running out of day light, i have the springs in and one controll arm, but i cant get the other lca lined up. the driver side axle needs to be pushed in towards the back of the jeep. does anyone have any idea how i can do that? ive tried sitting on my butt and useing my legs but they arent stong enough, ;(

also, my passenger side coilspring is rubbing against that "bumpstop" thing or whatever it is called that the spring goes around.(up at the top) it seems to be bent... is everyones like that? is that normal?

and 1 more question... with the RC 3inch lifts(for the people who has RC lifts).. are we suppose to use the same mounting piece that the factory bolts for the factory shocks go through? the lower mounting thing? and if so how in the world do we get that out to use for the new shocks?

did your kit come with a adjustable track bar?

 

no it did not. i was just going to drill and relocate it for the time being.

 

Use a hydraulic jack to line up the axle. It worked for me

 

was that to make the axle push out towards the front of the jeep or vise versa?

 

Use the jack to move the axle whatever way you need to move it. I used the jack and a 2x4 cut to length and wedged it in between the axle and the bumper to move it back, or my rock rail to move it forward.

 

ok ya, that should work.. any idea about the forks? am i suppose to bang out the mounting bracket from the original shocks and put them in the new shocks?

 

If you are talking about the shaft with the mounting holes that go through the lower end of the shock, yes you need to keep it and use on the new shock. I used a C-clamp to push it out and WD-40 and a hammer to install it on the new shock.

Cable-come-along.

I used that to get the rear to align onto the springs when I changed my rear leafs.

As for the coil spring...
Are you sure you have it rotated correctly and sitting snugly into the lower mount?

i used a ratchet strap off the rear axle when i did mine
