Default start/stopping noise

A new noise, a swoosh when the engine starts or stops. It goes a way in a couple of seconds. Just started at 9000 feet and 30-40 degree weather. Don't know if it will remain at lowere altitude, etc. Seems to be coming from top of block. Any ideas? thanks

Does it only happen at over 9000 ft or is that irrelevant info until you test it at a lower altitude? I suppose check your intake and air filter for something out of the ordinary. Kind of need more details to get a better picture. Does the sound continue for those few seconds after the engine is off?

Haven't tried below 9000 feet yet. Its not the AC or the radiator. Will try for more info.
