You're right. The blue hose with the little dumaflogie in the end is a vent and goes nowhere. Skip that and keep going on the others.

Did you end up tracing all that vacuum hose back to their proper shots? Also did you clean out the throttle body?

I traced the vacuum lines, sent seafoam, and carb cleaner through the intake today I replaced the entire ignition system and still nothing. About to send it to the scrap yard.

Can you keep it running by pumping the gas pedal? You say it automatically dies which leads me to assume that it does start and run but just briefly. Try pumping. If it stays running while pumping then dies again when you stop you'll have at least narrowed it down a bit.

No it dies even if I'm pumping on it. I can keep the starter engaged and pump on it and it will take it but as soon as I let off the ignition it dies

Maybe a check of the ballast res. again. You can jump the resistor(bypass) & if it stays running .....there ya go.
How about a fuel pressure test? With a gauge hooked up.....Come back with yer readings.

They are all reading 14.5 except 2 of them which are reading 16.5, the Chilton book says if they read outside the 3-6 range they should be replaced
