stalls, rough idle and overheats

stalls, rough idle and overheats
i have a 96' jeep cherokee 4.0. i just replaced all the plugs, wires, distributer cap and rotar, thermostat and the oil. and tightened the belt. it has a rough idle and stalls. it recently has started to over heat. before i did all that i had the same problems except the overheating. any ideas on what is wrong would be appreciated
