I had the check engine light come on for the cam sensor. I replaced and now when i put in drive and hit the gas it moves like it should but when i let off gas she dies, but she fires right back up. Its 96 cherokee with the 4.0 and auto trans. Any help would be great cause i dont want to get rid of it. just tired of dumpin money into it.

Is is still throwing a code? Have you cleaned or replaced the AIC?

What is the aic and it was throwing the same code so I got another cam sensor and now the code hasn't come back on but just stalls when I let off the gas in drive. Thank you and let me know what the aic is and where it's located.

Think he might mean iac, as in the idle air control. And for its location Google is the easiest way to show you.

Thanks for the help. I took the iac out and when i turn the key to the on position it doesnt budge and it was really dirty. So i got a new one and some throttle body cleaner. im gonna take the throttle body off and clean everything good and i will let u guys know if it works. Thanks again for the answers.

I cleaned the throttle body and put a new iac in. Still the same problem and still having the check engine light come on and its saying the cam sensor so i had it towed to a shop. Just have to wait and see whats goin on.Thanks for the help. Hopefully they can figure it out cause im ready to junk it.

Is your engine bay really dirty? I'd so clean it and check all your grounds and make sure they are in good shape also clean your battery terminals good luck

Its not to dirty but I cleaned all the electrical connectors. I didnt check the grounds though. One time when it shut off it was still pumping gas through the injectors until i turned the key off.
