stalling problems with *97 jeep cherokee

i took my jeep off raoding yesterday and before this the jeep was running fine as soon as I took it out of 4 wheel drive and got it on the highway my jeep would sputter a little bit when accelerating it back fired and when I got home to turn in my drive way it stalled out and every time i would start it back up it would go until i took my foot off the gas and it stall out again. if anybody can think of why it is doing this please let me know i need my jeep for work tomorrow.

#1 suspect for stalling is a marginal battery. And yes, you can have a battery that is strong enough to start the engine, but marginal enough to give the engine management system fits and create the stalling symptom.

Sure, there are many other possibilities, but you must rule the battery in or out before exploring them.

Have your battery LOAD TESTED.

Any parts store will do this for you for free. Load testing is the only conclusive way to test a battery; voltage by itself is not conclusive.

The jeep runs great and the battery is an interstate battery brandnew.

need help still cant figure out what is going on....


The cruise is not working either and it was working before this....


I checked all the fuse.
