Default stablizer length

i have another stablizer thats off a old suburban thats brand new when fully compressed its 2 inches longer..can i use it? It is a heavy duty one the piston is HUGE...bigger than my shocks

use one that is specified for you xj. trust me youll kick yourself later. i did the same thing with my shocks and now my coils are wearing to fast! trust me just cuz its beefier doesnt mean a thing to a 4000 pound xj versus a 6000-7000 pound suburban

what happens when you dont run front shocks at all?

Huge loss of control. put them back on.

BTw,
Steering stabilizers are band-aids that mask steering problems. Throw it away.

Exactly what I said. Steering stabilizers are band-aid. A properly set up front end does not need one. I haven't run one on my heep for years.

It's siezed on the threads and the tapered portion is spinning. Use a nut splitter or sawzall.
