squeely belt
I myself have had some issues with belt squeel. It ended up being that a little bit of coolant was seeping out from around the thermostat housing. It was lightly misting the belt and only losing a tiny amount of coolant. Thus even after the water in the coolant evaporated there was still a light coating of the coolant itself. And the rate of loss was so slow there was not particularly discernible loss of coolant.

I had the same problem, my pulleys looked ok to me but new belts squeaked, I tried the pumice hand soap, the liquid worked better than the bar but only lasted a few days. I got mad and roughed up the pulleys with some 80 grit sand paper (I tried for a 60 degree cross hatch like you want on a cylinder wall) and the squeak died. I know this is not a permanent solution but it will do till i get around to doing that new water pump and radiator up grade I have been putting off. It couldn't hurt to try ther is nothing worse than the squeaky squeaky
