THE SQUEAL?

I had this problem for awhile. I sprayed Armour All Shine on my belt while it was turning. The squeal went away for a couple of months then came back. So everytime it comes back i spray it again or hold a bar of soap down there and let it rub against the belt while the engine is running. Just dont get your hand caught.
So I get home last night cleaned everything to a T. The front of my motor lookd like it just came off the show room. The water test worked it quit the squeal. So got ANOTHER belt and put it on. Had the guys at the shop do it. And bam the squeal was gone......... Oh wait the squeal is back. So like Gore did i got the armour all out. Squeal gone and the arour all is in the glove box. Thanks guys for all your help I need to know that I was not crazy.

I realize this thread is 4 years old but it helped me tremendously. I changed my belt and the squeal wouldn't stop. I tried amour all and the soap trick but it only last a few minutes. I had to use a 3/4 driver extention approx 3 feet long in order to get the belt tight enough. Walah no squeak lol
