Quote: mine squeaks all the time, I think one could be that the hardware for the caliper has worn to the point of it being semi-loose when the brakes arent on

I have noticed I get a slight squeak at low speeds when I am turning, it almost sounds like the rotor is warped

But with all the abuse my xj has taken, im not surprised it makes all sorts of noise
i got the same sqeek. when i im turning the wheel only. left or right i get that on off warped rotor effect sound. i was thinkin possibl wheel bearing but it shud do it goin srtraight also. and i dont abuse my xj. only hav 104k on it

What are the implications of either answer?

turns out my issue was the idler pulley. i got bored yesterday and got hte ol wd-40 and and listened to pin point and it sounded like hte tensioner so i soaked it down and sure enough, the squeek quit

in one case it's something related to belt-pulleys, in the other case it comes from the drive train.

That makes sense. Would the drive train only squeak when you're turning?

I've got a noise like this. It is coming from the front left side wheel.

I'm thinking it is just that dust plate or a slightly warped roter. Happens usually when my brakes are warm.

If you have replaced the idler pulley in your Jeep, be prepared to do it again in a year or two. Not all Jeeps have the problem, but if they do it's usually recurring in my experiences.
