Couldn't find a match anywhere so if has already been discussed, sorry.
The rubber splash guards in the front wheel wells. Are they required? I can see daylight in several holes and even a few inch square cut out that I "think" the splash guard covers. Should I place these back on with new flat plastic screws? I'd hate to screw myself out of a vehicle over 30 minutes of easy work.

I just ordered a pair for JC Whitney of all. The pic is horrible, but the look 'moulded' rather that $3 flat slabs of rubber
In general, considering how these suffer from rot, I think mud Guards, designed and installed properly, will save on alot of salt spray getting on the floors
