I have a buddy that blew out his spiders last weekend. We have a huge ride planned for this weekend so there isn't going to be time to do an entire axle swap. I have the spider gears from my 8.25 that I took out when I installed my locker.
Mine 8.25 27 Spline
His Dana 35 27 Spline.
I know this probably hasn't been done. I do know that a Dana 35 Locker will work in an 8.25 as I have personally done it and currently run it. I just wonder if it would work putting my spiders in his 35.
I guess our other option is to see if we can weld some stuff up depending on how bad his gears are broken.
I am aware that if it did work it could cause some damage but that axel is hitting the jy as soon as he can find the 8.25 or 44 he wants to replace his.
here is a pic of my dana 35 lock right in my 8.25 It has been in there for over a year with no issues and works perfect.

Wow,never heard of this.
Logical reasoning would say that: if a Dana 35 locker fit in a 8.25 -then 8.25 spiders would fit in a Dana 35.
Not sure, try it.You have the spiders,he has the axle.
Let us know.

I think we are going to try it. I'm only thinking the may be to large for carrier. I was told by richmond that my locker only looked like gap was larger than spec. He also said however since its working should run it and see what happens. So I'm thinking the dana 35 is slightly smaller so my spiders may be to big. I know they will fit onto the shafts.
