Default speedometer reading

I have 235/75 15 tires, 3.55 gears and a 34 tooth speedo gear. My speedometer reads 7 mph off, all the way around the clock; speedo says im doing 43, when im doing 50.What could cause this. It doesnt even start moving until I have already started moving a few yards; from a dead stop, it stays at zero until I get some speed, then jumps to around 10mph, then starts working.

Some of the apps don't show sigs.

Ok now, have you crawled under her and looked at th TC tail housing wiring for the speedo gear. IiRC even on the older models it should be there.

On my 01 i had the same exact issue as you describe. My wiring on the OP sensor were rubbing each other causing the speedo to go wacky. Chances are its a wiring issue. Im just not to familiar with the older models

Mine is 2wd, the sensor plugs in to the back of the transmission. I went as far as pulling the speedo gear out.

You make sure the wiring is in tack. Also look at th wiring in the engine bay too.
