Default speedometer fix

hey just got my jeep wagonneer lifted and i got 33's in there but how do you fix the speedometer problem im going about 15 to 20 mph faster than what its reading...... any one know how to calibrate that?

yeah there is a little reader in your transfercase that tells you how fast you are going, you just need to buy a lager one to make up for the bigger tires. i cant think of what they are called because i am a little drunk but i will get back to you and let you know what you need to replace. its a five minute job if that but the part is a little expensive

The part you need is a speedometer gear.
It's location is on the transfer case.
As of January 2009, the price of speedo gears has sky-rocketed.
They use to be about $20.00, now they are about $60 - $70 each, unless you can find one at the junkyard that is cheaper.

On my jeep i just used my GPS unit to tell me my correct speed. Works rather well.
Just a thought!
