i have a 86 jeep with the 2.5l and the gauge cluster in it is one with gauges not dummy lights. im swapping in a different gauge cluster my wife got for me. the speedometer on the back is different. mine has the metal clip on the cluster and this new one doesnt. can i just go to napa and get a new speedometer cable for this new cluster or do i have to have it custom made? i been searching but came with no real answers about buying it from the parts stores.

My cable won't snap on to the new cluster. That's my main problem and was wondering if the speedo from the newer year would fit. Or is both sides different on the cables.
