Default speedo help

ok this is my first thread on here so hopefully i wont sound too stupid. heres my problem. i've got a 92 XJ that i lifted 3.5 with a rubicon express kit. got everything running great. set the pinion angle. then my front driveshaft took a dump on me along with the transfer case making some wierd noises. i found a cheap stock replacement transfer and i put a new driveshaft in. everything ran fine yesterday but when i got in it this morning the speedometer wasn't doing anything along with the mileage diplay. i know i reconnected the plugs on the transfer and i'm not even sure that those would cause this problem. anyone have any advice as to what i should look at first? also my oil pressure gauge has been acting wierd today also. engine has plenty of oil and it doesn't smell burnt up. but when i'm taking off at a light the gauge says its waaay up there...then when i'm at cruising speed its at normal pressure. wtf is this?!?! thanks for anyone who can help.

the oil pressure gauge in my 96 is fed up 2 but no worries its only gauge as for the speedo make sure the wires are connected at the tail of the transfer case the speed sensor or the sensor could be bad

yeah i checked the connection at the tail end of the transfer and its good. all the guages work fine except for the speedo. i even cleaned out the plug on the connections at the transfer with some contact electrical cleaner. still no dice.
