well right now i really like kenwood excelon, they sound really good the highs are nice and even, but not to high like the alpine s speakers are nice but the highs are to high for me, the infinitys are nice they have a button on them so you can turn the highs down or leave em but i dont like the way they sound when the highs are turned down then when you leave em alone they are to high for me, and idk much about sony other than i heard they cant handle power from a amp, and as for walmart well my hespanic friends use them and i dont like the way they sound but its good for walmart. So basically i would go with kenwood excelon for a pare of 5-1/4'' they are $80 at stereo king.

I have used Dual speakers and always had good luck but I'm also really not a car audio guy. If it sounds good and it's cheap it is for me.

i have not ripped into my doors yet, but from what i have heard you have to drill new holes, but no cutting is required. so technically yes, but theoretically no...

That sucks. You wouldn't happen to know what size and type drill bit I need?

I love my Infinity stuff, Jeep has Soundstream 5 1/4s and 1.5 inch tweeters in the front, not bad at all for the price, And some older Pioneer 3 way 6x9s (not the cheap ones) in the rear hatch for now. And 2 Infinity Reference 12s in a ported box

you will have to trim the opening a little the 6.5 will not drop right with only drilling some new holes. so theoretically no either and technical no either

I have FOCAL components all the way around. Kinda spendy, but the sound is absolutely amazing and flawless.

I have a 99 cherokee and 6.5's dropped right in mine no problem. I just had to drill 2 new holes to put all four screws in.
