Question Speaker Problem

I just got a 2001 cherokee. Front right speaker never worked and the back ones work but cut out going over certin bumps. Anyone know how to fix this? Or how to properly access the back speakers that are mounted on the ceiling?

my sound bar in the back is held on by the side molding and some screws, pretty straight forward...the speakers cutting out is usually the connection at the speaker or somewhere close in the wiring take it apart and start looking, take the door panel off remove the front speaker and check the connection and wires as well..let us know what you find we'll go from there

to access the speakers mounted in the headliner, just take a panel popper, screwdriver or something and pop off the plastic grills. Work your way around slowly if you care not to break the clips. Then just take out a couple screws and bingo

My whole right side of speakers doesnt work. I checked the voltage on head unit - and wiring is done propertly. I also took a look at all the doors - wiring is original, but in very good condition. So i'm thinking i need to get through the wires somewhere in engine compartment, but i dont know were to look. help anybody?

The left side is working just fine.

i'm not trying to insult you with this obvious suggestion but...did you check the balance on the stereo?

Check the wires in the door boots, a common place to chaffe and ground out. Just pop the rubber boot out, and look around, you may need to take some tape off as well. I had one in the shop the other day that had chaffed underneath the factory tape even.
