Default spark plugs??

i bought 6 new spark plugs for my jeep and when i went to change them i couldnt get the case that covers them off. any suggestions? (2000 jeep cherokee, 4.0 , 6 cyl)

nevermind, you have coil on plug.... and ive never done em on an XJ

I just did my 2000 XJ today. Remove the 4 bolts holding the coil pack and pull from each end and the middle. I had to rotate the heater hose clamp to get enough room to get the front off. I also pulled the heater hoses out of the clamps and the trans kick down cable to get the coil pack out of the way to replace the plugs.

maybe you missed one of the cover bolts or just need to pry it up. maybe this will help...
