Default Spark plugs

I am planning on doing a tune up on my 88' Cherokee and I'm not sure which spark plugs to get since I have a 97' engine. Should i get spark plugs for a 88' or 97'?

Ok wasn't sure since the ignition and most everything else besides the block was still the 88' renix.
