picked up a couple spare tire carriers from s-10 blazers and used them for tube doors...

took the tire mount off... and re-welded on new bolts to match the jeep pattern and then welding it to the rack

Mine is just strapped between two factory roof rails with a ratchet strap. But the big air block would explain my crappy 14mpg average. I want to find a factory rear swing-out tire carrier.

Sounds crapy to me after seeing some claim 20mpg with theirs. Whats the chance of finding a factory swingout? I dont need big bulky aftermarket bumpers.

I've been looking for an OE swingout for awhile now. They are impossible to find. Mopar used to make a roof carrier that used the stock rails. They are hard to find now to.

Back when my buddy first got the Jeep we seen one at pull-a-part. I tried to get him to snag it but he was like, "Noooo, that thing will ruin your departure angle and give you less room to back up on the trail." I think its worth the downfalls. Cant hurt your departure angle much, the bumper would drag before the tire.
i grabbed 2 last time i went to the jy... Figured 1 for lights up front 1 for lights out back and the middle 2 for the spare. Just haven't gotten that far as to do any of it yet...
