Has anyone ever used edead sound deadening before? If, so is it any good, or do you have any recommendations for another type or brand?? Thanks

 

My mother inlaw is sound deadening for me, after listening to her squack for an hour I can't hear anything else.








JK. LOL maybe someone else will offer real advice...I just couldn't help myself.

 

I've used the square foot size adhesive pads, Dynamat is a common aftermarket brand - the ones I used were a GM part. GM specs on OE
applications just recommended one in center of outer door panel, but of course, I used 4 per door on my 69 Chev P/U and only 2 per door on my 61 ****** wagon (and under carpet and on quarter panels, etc) The point is they do work to a noticeable degree to take the road noise out. The expense kept me from making my trucks more like Cadillacs by padding everything, but the little I did was well worth it. 15 years ago the GM price was half what Dynamat was, might be worth comparing. Not just rebadged roofing material, asphalt mat/peel and seal. If your going to do it do it right!! Spend plenty of time researching, Second Skin has a forum, join. I have intentions on lining w/the linked above and then bed line over it. Doing the doors, roof, hatch w/as much damp mat as I can afford to buy.
