some one agree so ill have piece of mind...
doin my exo cage...did the rockers today, as well as door bars, and started bending the rear section.
heres my argument i keep having with myself.
when welding near a gas tank we all know it only takes one little ball of hot steel to ignite fumes. well if i take my tank out(its easily removable since i moved it up in floor. if i take my rubber lines off and there is just the steel lines in frame is there enough fumes coming from the little quarter inch lines 3 feet away to blow the heep up? i don think it would and im sure not taking the fuel lines off the frame. i figure after a min they will evap out i thought ill put a piece of tape on the ends.. besides they will be under jeep, ill be above floor, but those pieces of red steel popin go to the floor, i highly doubt one will pass the end of fuel lines taped off and ignite a few vapors lingering around. im just worried. i mean am i being overly cautious? i am used to cutting with the plasma with puddles of diesel below on floor, although diesel wont just ignite like gasoline....
by the way ill have pics of exo progress in my build thread this week.
any input is great but i dont want the few idiots to come in and say blah blah blah....it will blow up.

If you jerk the tank out and jump up under there in record time while the lines are still dripping and start welding you might start a tiny fire that might damage some stuff, like you, maybe. If you remove it and go have a beer, then set you material up for welding then weld so that it has time to stop dripping and whats on the floor to evaporate then you is good. No worries.
