Default So So Confused about 2000 XJ Injectors

I'm going to the JY this weekend to look for injectors. I've read every post I can find multiple times and I'm still confused. I have a 2000 XJ and I know that 98-00 Dodge Stratus 2.4L part number 04669938 injectors are plug and play. Which ford vehicle's injectors are plug and play without adapters?

here is a list i had saved for this injector.

some of the repeat, but just save the list and delete the ones that are on there twice, print it out and bring with you. Hope it helps.

no problem, good luck and make sure to get new o-rings. ATF or vaseline on the orings AFTER you clean the injectors.

Not gona lie, i didnt notice a differance. I havent calculated mpg though. There may have been a differance that you may notice but i think the bored tb, intake, and exhaust masked most of what the injectors would have shown. Im by no means saying dont do the injector swap as others have seen huge differences. The only thing i did notice was a way smoother idle. Im sure it made the acceleration a bit more peppy, but im not positive.

Either way, id say do the mod and let me know how it turns out! Most of the people doing an injector swap are doing it with the older engines and using yellow sticks (from what i read). Im a bit curious on another 00-01 xj and how much of a difference it makes.

so in that list of fords, and sorry to reiterate, all of those will have injectors that will fit a 00-01 and don't need the adapters, and have the 4 ports?

yes, they should. Just pull one out, and see if it says xf2e-c4b on it and if so pull the rest.

With all the talk about changing injectors, I've never seen anyone say they bought new ones. I don't really want to put used parts in my jeep.

new injectors for the 99+ cherokee swap runs roughly 89.99 each at pepboys (where i work). I took injectors and since the swap ive had a better idle (runs alot smoother) and it has a bit more pep. I myself noticed it, everyone/jeep is different of course so results would vary. But make sure you get the right injector!

enjoy.

theres a site floating around in one of the main injector swap threads with a link to buy them new for a good price *thought like 180 for 6?), but long as you clean and test junkyard ones, you should be all good for a fraction of the price.

I bought some off of ebay and am very pleased with the results. However, this may not be for you. Risk aversion is a crippling disease. Read your own sig line.
