Default Smoking after new fuel regulator

I just put in new injectors and a fuel pressure regulator. I had gas spraying everywhere before that. Today I started my Jeep up and the 1st time just a little smoke. the 2nd time let it run for 3 min and more smoke and horrible smell. looks like coming from the side of engine with injectors. (afraid of catching fire)

I don't have an answer unfortunately but the same question.

Is it a white smoke that smells like unburnt fuel? I just replaced my exhaust and intake manifolds which included taking the fuel rail and injectors out. I started it up and get a white fuel smelling smoke. I cut mine off too as the smoke scared me.

I'm going to try to run it a bit longer tomorrow to see if it goes away.

Did you figure out your issue yet?

Before you start it again, turn on the key to energize the fuel pump. Then turn off the key and check under the hood for fuel odor and/or leaks. Check the injectors, the fuel regulator and the connections to the fuel rail.

You need to make sure there aren't any fuel leaks before starting it.

If you find leaks, post what you find for advice...
