Default smoke prob
my 93 cherokee has a smoke prob.it dont really smoke when i drive but when i stop it smokes pretty good.idk if it the rings or not.my engine is the l6 4.0.just seen what you guys think.thanks

Where is it smoking from? I assume you mean from the tailpipe but theres about a billion things a jeep could burn up and create smoke.

Does it blow smoke out the exhaust pipe at a stop but seem to quit blowing the smoke once you're under way?

yes it from the tailpipe and yea it seems to stop when i drive

Had the same problem on my wife's XJ. Replaced the valve stem seals with the head on the engine in the Jeep, and it doesn't burn a drop of oil between changes now.

about how much does that gonna cost me.and also idk if it burns oil cause it has a oil leake.i think from around the oil filter

A leak around the oil filter will not cause smoke out the tailpipe.

Call some trusted local shops and ask them how much to put valve stem seals in.

Then it isn't bad. I did mine in an afternoon. I had to borrow the valve spring compressor from a buddy.
