Ah, ok, thank you, hopefully they didn't get too banged up – only drove about a 1/2 mile (slowly and close to no braking) with them after stopping to cool them down.

A little update.
Got some new calipers (after seeing the state of the old one on the LF side), new rotors and new soft brake lines and pads (for both sides).
Took the old caliper off on the non-smoked side first (doh) and changed the rotor and pads just so that i know they are new (pads looked worn but rotor went to spare bin). Put it together and started on left front, that was a bit different, couldn't get the brake line off it's top mount to the line that goes to the master cylinder – decided to try and just change the caliper – undid the bolt that hold the line at the caliper and at first a watery clear liquid started seeping out, then a yellow/green version and at last a completely black and thick substance streamed down into a bucket underneath, all from the caliper. The caliper had a cracked cylinder and looked dried out. Put the new caliper on and new rotor and pads (didn't change neither brake line), bled the system and took it for a spin, no smoke and no heat! So far so good.
Not sure what caused it but the old pads were on upside down on the inner pad on both sides making it hell to get the caliper out, i think (the hook pointing upwards)?
