Anybody have one? My gf is buyin me a winch for my b-day/christmas and this one is abought the cheapest ive found(by a reputable company).

these winches are actually rebadged t-maxx winches. which is a good thing.

there are two versions of the 8000lb winch out, one is 4.8hp, the new one is 5.5 hp make sure to get this one!

the cheapest prices are found in the vendors section of pirate4x4.com/forum

i had a quote for $275 shipped to my door.

how do you know the difference between 4.8 and 5.5hp?

my friend bought one because the price is unbeatable. warn winches are more trail tested to the fact that more people own them. so as much as you are paying for a great product from warn, you are also paying for the name. i would also look into getting the rope (whatever it is called, someone help me out im brain dead right now) for the spindle instead of the cable. i heard its a big improvement and a lot safer if it snaps because it wont snap back.
