Default small vac hose from passenger side firewall?

Any know what this is for. I will describe it as best as I can. It comes from the passenger side fire wall and is a small narrow vacuum type hose. It is connect to the firewall by a solid boot and moves up around the purge solenoid. It connects into the electrical taped wires that run along the top of the firewall. Any ideas? It was loose and I was wondering what it was connected to. Sorry I don't have any pictures but I am having a hard time finding any info.

Year model? Color of hose?

On my 1990 there are vacuum hoses there that operate the climate control system. There should be a kick panel covering these I believe.

He's had 12 years to do so!

It was probably the hose that leads to the cruise control (if equipped) and to the vacuum reservoir behind the front bumper trim.
