Now mixing different types of trans fluid can get ugly.
Jeep neglect? I check my stuff every week, clearly something went wrong and it happened one day. Jeep neglect would be not doing anything at all. Posting a picture on a forum is more then what most people do

Plug condition? Did you flush system out well? Check coolant for exhaust gasses? Pressure test cooling system? Pull water pump and check inside that and inside the block? Were not gonna come and fix it for you, but have given you plenty to check.

When I say flush, all hoses off and radiator and all works blasted out with a powerful garden hose. I for one would be checking to see if I was ruining my engine, not waiting for the sludge to return.

The picture, to me, doesn't look like an oil sludge...but is hard to tell for sure. If you or a previous owner have mixed different coolant types, it can create a sludge like that...I bought a used S-10 a few years ago with crap that looked like that in it. I flushed it pretty well, then drove it to work, draining and refilling clean water every day for about 2 weeks before the water I drained seems clean.

If you have been regularly servicing your radiator, and the sludge is a brand new problem, then, you'll want to start looking for signs of a fracture in the head...loss of oil pressure, unexplained loss of coolant, visible coolant in oil, etc. Search "0331" on this forum for lots of info on what you might be up against. This one is really good info...

Mine was like that. It turns out it was full of some stop leak stuff from the PO. Flushed it and put a new water pump on and everything was normal after that. Even ran cooler

Seems like all the various colors/brands of coolants have been compatible for quite some time now. What's in that pic far from happens overnight.

x2, it does look like that stop leak ****. Why anyone would put that crap in their cooling system is beyond me.
