Been having issues with the xj when it starts. It takes about 2-3 seconds to start. Before it would usually start right up with no issues. Sometimes it stalles out when I turn the key. So i have to turn the key again and give it gas so it stays running. So far I've replaced coil rack,plugs,spark plugs,throttle position sensor and idle air control valve. Same thing....it still drags to start....could it be the starter?? I doubt it's the battery...I can drive the for hours and no issues. Battery has never given up on me yet. Its only the starting issues. It's a 2001 jeep Cherokee sport 4wd

 

Did you clean the throttle body? Specifically where the IAC goes.
