sloppy steering
I have been having issues with my 99 having sloppy steering, and need help diagnosing it.
I know my tie rods are not 100% i can move them and the rubber boot moves and wont really hold grease. I was just wondering if it could be the tie rods or steering box or even the stabilizer. I just dont know. all i know is itll cost more than i have $ for.

Get underneath and have a helper move the steering wheel back and forth while you touch and feel every link and joint. Then jack it up just so the tires clear the ground and put a bar under the tire and lift checking the ball joints.

I've checked the ball joints There's no play in them I can see. I know the tie rod boots are bad so maybe thats my issue since there not holding everything tight anymore.
