If you put in the 2" coil spacers and shackles, would you need to change any of the other components? Pitman arm, etc? Or would everything still work fine with the extra two inches?

Thanks, I may be interested in this as well if it's easy and cheap. I'd like just a little extra height as well.

If this works fine, where can you get a cheap kit?

Yes it would work, I ran their 3" BB for a year.....BUT I started having problems after that 1st year.

You really do want to stay away from blocks if you can help it. Yes, it's a cheap way to lift, but remember you get what you pay for most of the time. Their 3" BB consisted of spacers, shackles, and blocks....all while using the stock springs and stock leaf packs. After a year of highway travel, the blocks began to take a toll on the stock leaf packs....and I started running into driveline binding, and axle wrap (no fun at all!)

And I know their 2" complete BB consists of blocks also. It's your call in the end, but I just wanted to offer my experience with a BB using blocks.

Rocky Roads budget lift with spacers and shackles are rock solid. I used em before I got my RE lift and well the kit worked very well. Just don't use the goofy block they offer it makes the rear higher then the front. Also you will need either new shocks or BPE's since the factory shocks aren't long enough.

On their 2" kit the rear block is optional incase the rear isn't level with the front. On mine I didn't use the block as it made the rear higher then the front.

Nice, I think I'll try the 2" complete bb. At this price, I can get it in before winter. I'll skip on the rear blocks and just do the shackles, coil spacers, and bpe's. How's the install?

I assume I'll just have to unbolt the leafs, to add the shackles.

For the front I'll have to drop the coils down... Do I need a spring compressor?

Sorry for the complete ignorance on suspension and steering knowledge. I'll have to do some research to get a knowledge of steering and suspension. Having never messed around with it on any of my vehicles I just don't know anything about it.

Thanks guys

I have enough stock to make a few more sets of front coil spring spacers if anyone is interested.
I, personally, use them and so does Belto.

Check Lil Red's Build Thread OR Belto's WorkHorse Build thread for pics.
PM me if you are interested.

Another kit you should consider.. http://www.quadratec.com/products/76190_803.htm

As for install it's simple as can be.. once you get the kit drop in and I know anyone here can tell you how to do the install..

Hmm...that's interesting...didn't know that about their 2" BB.

On the topic of shocks, you should be good at 2" with the factory ones. My friend is running a 2" BB on his 98 consisting of an AAL and front spacers, and he's doing just fine with the factory shocks.
