The signal light fuse on my 1994 Cherokee country keeps popping everytime I turn the key on. I have checked all the bulbs, lighter, trailer lights, interior lights. Not sure what else is on this fuse, manual just says it is for the signal lights. Could it be the turn signal switch? Any ideas what it could be?

 

first follow the wires. look for cracks in the casing. then, if that not it check the relays.

an OHM meter can be your bet friend

 

I had that problem. Turned out to be a bad socket.

What else is on the fuse with the signal lights?

 

Socket for the bulb.

 

pull out the bulbs see what happens?

 

I did pull out all the bulbs, there is 12. Also replaced the signal flasher and that did not help. Kind of leaning towards the signal switch..any thoughts?

 

did it pop the fuse with the flasher removed,with the fuse out will the flashers work

 

I disconnected the wiring harness for the wires that went up into the steering column and the fuse popping stopped. I reconnected the wiring harness and the fuse did not pop and now my signal lites are working. What the heck????
