Shutting off and now wont start

Lately my xj has been sputtering when it starts and just today sitting in traffic it died and was hard to start back up. On my way home from school it shut off and would not start back up. It cranks and has a good spark, any ideas?

Engine: The venerable 4.0

Check your fuel pressure. Can you hear the pump prime? Dump a little gas in the throttle body and see if it starts.

Engine: The venerable 4.0

Schraeder valve on the fuel rail. If you turn the key to on it will pressurize the system. Press in the center of the valve and it should spray fuel. Do it on a cold engine and let it dry lol.
