I'm showing a p0700 code on my obd II autoscanner iv been reading its kinda notorius coming up on jeeps. My question is what I can do to get this off since I need to get my truck inspected. Also I just resently turned my jeep into a submerine and sunk it with about 12 inches of water in it. I have a few other codes showing up like my tps witch I know is bad and I need to replace it. I'm wondering after I flush all my fuilds and change my tps and clear the codes would that help with the p0700. Code or is that gonna be a diffrent sencor I'm gonna have to replace.

 

P0700 generally is a TCM fault that affects the CCD Bus. Since your XJ was a submarine you may want to check the Transmission Control Assembly and Transmission Range Sensor connectors for water intrusion. Both connectors are in a group of three connectors next to the transmission oil dipstick. The thrird connector there is connector C107. It has alot of goodies going through it as well. The TRS and TCA connectors couple with the TCM, so any bad guys in those connectors will affect the TCM, and possibly trigger the P0700 code.
