short horn when locking

short horn when locking
hi to everyone, I'm a lucky owner of jeep cherokee XJ 1998 , it came with standard remote lock/unlock fob. When locking there is a short horn, as confirmation that car was locked. Is there any way to disable that sound? thanks

Ok, I could not find the answer in manual, but browsing in internet found this:
1997-2001 factory keyless -
1) Press and hold the lock button on the fob for 5-10 seconds.
2) While the lock button is pressed, press and release the unlock button on the fob.
The horn beep will either turn on or turn off.
it worked for me

Wow. That totally just worked for me. I always wondered why my horn didn't sound upon locking via the remote. Works now. Thanks. CF FTW!
