My new-to-me 2000 Jeep Cherokee seems to set a little lower than it should. Could it just be worn out shocks? What shocks do you all recommend to replace them with? Other thoughts? Thanks!

Lower in the rear im guessing? You're probably looking at new leaf springs.

Both front and back seem lower. I'll try to post some pics in a bit

Sorry for using multiple posts to insert the pictures. If I try to attach more than one picture at a time this app keeps crashing!

Shocks won't adjust ride height. Springs do that. Stock height for the XJ is 17.5" from the center of the hub to the bottom of the fender flare in the front. 17" in the rear.

well, the fronts are spot on at 17.5", the rears look to be about 1/8" shy of 17". It just looks like it sets low. Here is a shot of the rear left leaf spring:

P.S. Thanks for the quick replies and help!

Does anyone else think my leaf spring looks a little......flat? Or is it just me? I would think it would have some degree of upward arch even under the vehicle weight

You could probably use new springs.

it does look flat but your ride height doesn't seem to be suffering much

I think they look a little flat. They probably are worn out. Get ready to replace it all. The moment we all go through with these machines is coming. Lol!

They're more than flat.

Time for new leafs...which is a great reason to get a lift kit!
