Default Shock Removal Help

Hey,
I am working on my jeep to try to get it back on the road, I have a bad shock so I need to remove it, However most likely I will have to drill the bolts out, Any way to avoid this?

Front shock, rear shock?
Have you sprayed PB blaster or liquid wrench on it and let it soak?

just break the bolts then punch the holes out, then drop some bolts in from the top.
