Question shock length for my 5.5 RE

25.9"--15.9"
25.9"--15.9"
28"--16.5"
29.7"--17.9"
29.7"--17.9"
34.9"--20.75"
34.9"--20.75"

I have orderd the RE 5.5 Long arm system and the monotubes they ship for it are on back order untill 2050 or something redic. So, i go the measurements and am trying to find what would be the best fit for the dimensions they gave me since none match up perfectly... The dimensions they gave me are 27.8--17.2 front, and 26.7--16.2 rear. Thanks for the help everyone

Also valving..255/70 or the 170/60..not really sure what that means lol but thanks

please let us know how you end up liking them. I was really thinking hard about a set of the 5100's but was struggling with the same questions.

well from what i understand the shocks i have are for a 4-6" lift...and running the 5.5 RE im thinking i might be limiting my down travel with these, i measured them and the fronts are like 25 1/2 with the backs being like 24...shorter than the measurements RE gave me when i called and got them. so i guess i will find out when i put it all together...anyone have any ideas if they will be to short?

^ them or IRO. They sell the 5100's and their biggest selling kit is their long arm setup so you know they must have an idea on lengths.

i called rustys and they said their length for the 6.5 LA was 31???? much longer than the ones i have for and inch of lift. the fronts of these...tip to center of bushing are 27. and rears are like 24...i guess we will find out when i go to bult everything up... i think what im gonna do is flex out the suspension untill the tires are just about rubbing and than see if the shock is long enough to than bolt up to the brackets, is that the righ thing/way to see if they are gonna be long enough?

actually a little more after total flex would be right so you dont pull the shock apart
